Staying inside for Mother’s Day doesn’t have to be boring (or quiet). Check out the best livestreams and virtual events that you and mom can enjoy together.

Well, it’s about that time. It’s time to introduce your mom to the wild and wonderful world of livestreams. We’re not saying that your mom doesn’t know about livestreams, but maybe she isn’t aware of the sheer variety and number of livestreams out there.

As the days of quarantine roll on and more virtual performances spill out onto Instagram and Facebook, picking the very best, most appropriate ones can be challenging. No worry, though, we have you covered with some of the best livestreams to fire up if you and mom are looking for some live music in-between at-home activities. Check them out below.

320 Festival

The 320 Festival goes online for Mother’s Day weekend. Each day the festival will bring viewers digital panels and educational sessions along with performances from Chris Martin, Lindsey Stirling, and Echosmith.

Kelsea Ballerini

Country superstar Kelsea Ballerini will perform live for iHeartRadio’s “First Responder Fridays.” Each performance is dedicated to First Responders, with money raised going directly to organizations supporting people on the front line.

SF Jazz presents Joe Lovano

For the low price of $5, you can treat mom to a world-class jazz concert courtesy of the SF Jazz Center. This week, the non-profit will present a concert from saxophonist Joe Lovano who will perform two sets with different trios.

The Metropolitan Opera presents Puccini's La Bohème

During quarantine, the Met Opera has been showing various operas from its vaults. This week, art fans will witness Puccini’s classic “La Bohème.”

Breakout singer-songwriter Lianne La Havas just announced her upcoming self-titled album, her first in five years. Her mix of soulful vocals and deft fingerpicking should be on display for her at-home show for La Blogotheque.
