The best Los Angeles Lakers plays from this season… so far

Basketball season may be on hold for now, but that doesn’t mean there haven’t already been some spectacular plays. We’ve rounded up the best of ’em. So far.

Due to the current coronavirus pandemic, the 2019-2020 NBA season is officially suspended. Because of the uncertainty of the times, no official return date has been scheduled.

While we’re happy players, staff, and fans are staying safe by practicing social distancing, the lack of new Los Angeles Lakers games has left us going (only a little) mad. To help with the sanity and alongside LA Live, home to the Laker’s STAPLE Center, we’re taking a look back at some of the best plays from the Los Angeles Lakers 2019-2020 season (so far).

Singer-songwriter Kane Brown releases a heartfelt new single, dedicated to the movement against racism and discrimination. Proceeds from the song will benefit the Boys and Girls Club of America.

GRAMMY-winning, multi-platinum artist Lauren Daigle shares a social distancing version of one of her hit songs. “I had so much fun with all my bandmates putting this together for you,” Daigle wrote in an announcement post on Instagram. “From all of us, we hope you enjoy the social distancing version of ‘Still Rolling Stones.’”

Chapel may be a new name in the pop world, but they’re quickly making a place for themselves. The duo’s first three singles were met with great success, and now they’re ready to share even more about themselves... in 49 Seconds.

Alt-indie singer Freja The Dragon shares a soulful rendition of “Cold Little Heart,” originally performed by Michael Kiwanuka, which appears in the intro of HBO’s Big Little Lies series.
